Very conservative (ouderwets)Catholic school. Limited curriculum. Heavy on math and geography. Long penmanship lessons. Lots of corporal punishment, which I believe is now against the law. Basically a school and a religious order which time had stopped in the late 19th century. I was once ejected from school after protesting against the corporal punishment. Like many dutch schools after the war, there appeared to exist overall delusion that we were still a colonial paternalistic power.
