Aanmeldenschool was hell
Just remembering having a tough time at school - was not a good student - unable to learn from books. I have to see it or do it for me to remember. Unfortunately the teachers did not acknowledge my learning disabilities, and thought that a daily dose of humiliation would cure the problem. Had a few good friends. After the MAVO, I did evening classes for almost 12 years while working during the day at Douwe Egberts. Working for a short while in Germany, and then was transferred by D.E. / Sara Lee to Canada, and 2 years thereafter transferred again to the US, and becoming the Vice President of the US and Canadian divisions of Douwe Egberts Tobacco.
