I was in this school only a few months due to teachers not understanding my sense of humor. Maybe because I was not a good student. You get to pick which one. Enjoyed my two months in this school though I was glad when they granted me freedom from the torture of sitting in class.

My last four months of school in holland was spent here. I remember moving from Boddenkamp ULO to Kottenpark. How I missed the old building at Boddenkamp. I have many fond memories about the school and about my classmates. Though I only lasted till my 16th birthday, the few months I was there were fun. After leaving school I went to work on a cruise ship, after which I tried the MAVO for two months, which was a disaster. I went to work on the river Rhine, Rijn, and in 1975, a week before turning 21 moved to the US. While in the US I finished my highschool, went to the University. After the University I went on to seminary where I studied theology and became a minister, dominee. Two more years as an intern at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta after which I became a hospital chaplain. Presently I am employed in Carrollton Georgia. In looking back over my time in the Netherlands I have good memories. Great friends, Adri, Ruud, Tony, Hans, Jan Bob, etc., and female friends, Charlotte, Marijke, Irma, Elleke, Gea, Wilma, and more. Moving to the US was a life saver for me and I made good on all the stupid things I had done in my teenage years. If you remember me, feel free to email me at myllerup@gmail.com and share some of your memories. When I married the second time I took on the name of my Danish wife and so my last name is now Myllerup-Brookhuis, thus my email address. You can find us on the web. Happy memories.

One of the fondest memories was our class trip to somewhere. A group of us decided to get up early one morning to take a walk in the country. Adri, Gea, Detsje, and some others, sneaked out. Adri had to go to the bathroom and I told him where to go and he ended up in the room of Mr. van der Glas. I still laugh about that one. It was a memorable walk.
